Phase 1: Complete

The building's integrity was secured and the first-floor retail spaces were renovated.

Today, thriving businesses keep the Opera House alive and active

Phase II: In Progress

The upper floors are being restored into a fully functioning opera house and community space:

A Theater for concerts, comedy, and live performances.

Flexible event space for galas, meetings, and celebrations

Modern accessibility upgrades to welcome everyone

Follow the Norway Opera House

In 1894, the Opera House was rebuilt after the Great Fire. The building was the center for both commerce and entertainment. It was a site for graduations, dances, theater and traveling shows. Follow the rehabilitation journey and keep up to date with what's going on in Downtown Norway. 

 

 

The Norway Opera House

Originally built in 1887, The Norway Maine Opera House stands at the center of historic Main Street. The Building is on the National Registry of Historic Places.
